The Atlantic.com website reports that although the Obama campaign calls its “Vote for Change” voter registration drive a mere voter registration drive (i.e., Nothing to see here, folks, except for ordinary people helping ordinary people gain the franchise), it’s much more than that. Obama’s Vote for Change program will lay the foundation for his general election get-out-the-vote efforts, according to the Atlantic. Obama aides won’t say more, but I gather the campaign is constructing an incredibly elaborate online interface to allow its more than a million donors and volunteers to directly persuade their neighbors through a variety of media. On election day, the Obama camp might have more than a million individuals volunteering on his behalf. That should scare the beejeesus out of the McCain campaign and the RNC. You may have heard of Rev. John Hagee, the McCain supporter and endorser, who said God created Hurricane Katrina to punish New Orleans for its homosexual “sins,” and who drew condemnation from the Catholic Church when he stated that the “whore” represented in the Christian Bible’s book of Revelation represents the Catholic Church?” Now meet Rev. Rod Parsley, the televangelist megachurch pastor from Ohio who states of Islam that “America was founded…with the intention of seeing [Islam] destroyed.” For his specific comments relating to the US and Islam, and excerpts of John McCain’s support for Parsley, watch the video below. The mainstream media has hardly even asked McCain about Rev. Hagee or Rev. Parsley. Click here to watch the video.

Which of these two scenarios is more likely? A.) The US, and it’s past foreign policy toward Arabs in this world is at least partly responsible for what happened on Sept 11, 2001, or B.) the Catholic Church is who is characterized by the “great whore” of the Book of Revelation?
If you believe that option A is possible, then you agree with Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. If you can stomach option B, then you agree with Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s pastor, the Rev. John Hagee. (more…)
